Goodlettsville Information & Real Estate

Goodlettsville is located 20-miles north from downtown Nashville, and only 30-minutes from the Nashville International Airport, and has a very accessible location off I-65. Goodlettsville was incorporated as a city in 1958 with a population of just over 3,000 residents. 

As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 13,780. Part of Goodlettsville is in Davidson County, Tennessee and the balance of it is in Sumner County, Tennessee.

Goodlettsville chose to remain autonomous when, in 1963, the City of Nashville merged with the government of Davidson County. Therefore, Goodlettsville is only governed by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County in a limited manner. Goodlettsville is just a 10-minute drive from Old Hickory Lake, Nashville's premier water sport lake.

The city of Goodlettsville is only minutes from the shopping Mecca of the RiverGate Mall.  RiverGate offers fashion, fun and food for everyone with four department stores, over 150 stores, and 15 eateries.
