That all changed in 1985 when Spring Hill was selected as the site for a new manufacturing plant for "a new kind of car" by General Motors—Saturn. Since becoming home to General Motors Saturn manufacturing facility, Spring Hill, Tennessee, has experienced continuing growth. Spring Hill is only a 15-minute drive from Cool Springs Galleria, one of the largest shopping and dining Meccas in middle Tennessee.
